The role

We are seeking a full time HRBP at grade I to work within the team in the Faculty of Health Sciences to cover a maternity leave. Here at the University our HRBPs are responsible for advising managers at all levels on operational aspects of HR Management, manage a case load and contribute to the development of corporate HR policy in order to achieve the aims of the HR Strategy and University Plan.

What will you be doing?

Whilst there is some cross over support with other parts of the Faculty, this role will predominantly support Bristol Veterinary School and the School of Anatomy. Partnering with the leadership teams in each school, routine activities within the role will include supporting managers with cases from all stages of the employee lifecycle, workforce planning, analysing and interpreting HR MI data, and supporting academic and other staffing procedures at School and/or Faculty level.

You should apply if

For this role you will be a HR Professional with experience of working with professional or specialist staff. You will be used to balancing a varied caseload and be able to evidence a history of successful partnering with managers at multiple levels in a complex environment. You will be able to demonstrate flexibility in your approach and be happy to be part of a supportive team. You should have excellent organisational and communications skills and up to date knowledge of employment law and current HR issues and best practice. You should also be used to balancing a busy workload, demonstrating resilience and flexibility in your approach as well as building good working relationships with staff at all levels.

Contract type: fixed-term maternity cover for 12 months
