HR Business Partner
This opportunity is currently being offered on a fixed term contract basis of 12 months.
We are looking for a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to join our Council Planning & Programmes team at Medway Council. Working as part of a team of HRBP’s, in this critical role, you will be supporting, coaching, and advising managers across the council in relation to workforce strategies and talent management alongside delivering programmes of change, which currently includes a review of the Council’s pay approach and the development of career progression tools and guidance.
You will be competent in providing advice and guidance to your customers and skilled in analysing and presenting information that inform solutions or strategies. Able to build and maintain positive relationships with individuals at all levels of the organisation, including Trade Union representatives, to deliver business focused solutions, and taking a partnership approach.
You will share your HR knowledge and will identify areas of innovation and improvement calling on HR best practice. You will be adept at applying and working with a variety of terms and conditions of employment.
You will be working as part of a collaborative, supportive and customer focused team reporting into the Head of Council Planning & Programmes, part of the HR & Organisational Culture Service. You will have line / matrix management responsibilities for an Organisational Change Consultant.
You will be CIPD qualified and/or hold a relevant degree and have experience of working within HR, with up-to-date knowledge of change management and have high professional standards.
