The Team
The HR team sit in the heart of the organisation and provide expertise and support throughout the employee lifecycle. The team work closely with all areas of the business to help determine people plans and priorities. The team cover a range of specialties and support each other in their delivery to the business.
The Role
This is an exciting and varied role for a true HR generalist who can step into the business partnering space. Working closely with the HR team and stakeholders you will provide pragmatic and effective HR advice and guidance for all people related matters both strategic and operational. The role requires a confident approach based on strong collaborative relationships and the ability to gain an in depth understanding of organisational and people challenges.
It’s a hands-on role which requires you to switch between operational and strategic priorities, reactive and proactive HR, taking into consideration the short, medium and long term goals and objectives for the business.
There are several key areas of responsibilities which will be focused around specific teams across Itad:
- Provide guidance and expertise on people practices such as recruitment, resourcing, succession planning, development reviews and performance improvement
- Identifying and using people data to inform improved decision making
- Share people expertise and develop solutions to help our teams deliver their strategy and improve business efficiency
- Leading on HR specific projects that align with our People Strategy. These could include Wellbeing, Talent Management strategies and Employee experience
- Collaborate with different working groups across the team
- Build and influence relationships to support collaboration, communication and celebration throughout Itad
The Candidate
You are CIPD qualified to at least level 5 and your experience will have included an SME You will be skilled at managing a highly varied workload and are comfortable with a number of priorities ranging across operational and strategic issues. Your experience in HR will enable you to know when to ask for support and when to flag potential issues.
You easily flex your style and approach based on what the requirement is and will be adept at using professional influence to ensure good people management practice across all levels of the business. You believe in a pragmatic approach whilst understanding the importance of consistency.
The salary range for this role is £35 - £38K depending on your experience. We also offer a comprehensive learning and development programme, flexible working patterns and a matched company pension up to 5%. You will have 26 days core holiday days plus a further 3 flexible days and public holidays which you can take whenever you want to. You can also purchase up to 5 days holiday and two points in the year.
The role is based in our offices in Brighton & Hove (East Sussex) but you don’t need to be in the office every day, we work on a hybrid basis where travel to the office is expected for weekly team meetings and key company events. However, you will already have the right to live and work in the UK.
