Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust
Full Time Poole, England 48526 - 54619 GBP ANNUAL Today
Job description

We are an outstanding rated Trust, and Our People are critical to our continued success and the care we provide; having a workforce that is healthy, engaged and highly skilled will be your top priority.

At Dorset HealthCare, we want our HR Business Partners to be aligned to and work closely with our senior leaders to enhance workforce performance, foster and nurture strategic people enablers such as talent, leadership, learning, and culture, as well as develop people solutions, to achieve the Trust’s objectives.

You will drive people strategy within your portfolio area, alongside teams of specialists in talent, culture, learning and development, etc, and our operational HR Advisory team team who deal with day-to-day people management matters.

You will play a key part in enabling business strategy by delivering great people approaches, rather than operational implementation.

You will work closely with leadership teams to help build organisational and people capabilities. You will work with the organisation to shape and implement effective people strategies and programmes, drawing on your unique knowledge as a people professional.

There will be plenty of opportunities to develop meaningful relationships with key people and teams across the Trust, using data to be more evidence-based in practice, and delivering a portfolio of business-relevant solutions that meet the evolving needs of the organisation.

Develop the long-term business strategy and service/directorate workforce plans, as part of the portfolio management team. Ensure consistency and compatibility with Trust-wide strategic plans.

To drive and support the implementation of workforce plans, working with colleagues and peers to influence, enable, and embed strategic workforce change.

To ensure the service/directorate has an up-to-date workforce plan and monthly reviews. This includes present and future establishment for all roles. Identify new potential roles to be introduced over the next 12 months, identify new areas that are underperforming and create action plans to resolve this.

Influence service/directorate management teams. Plan and implement best practice people management of all levels, develop staff talent, staff development, and resourcing.

Work closely with the senior leadership team to ensure retention is reviewed regularly and plans are put in place to retain staff across the service/directorate.

Participate in selection panels for senior appointments, ensuring robust selection processes whilst addressing our diversity and inclusion commitments.

Develop and support our recruitment plans, working closely with the resourcing team to promote campaigns to ensure we are reaching hard-to-recruit areas.

Support the senior leadership team to identify, design, and develop plans to implement workforce modernization, including new ways of working and role redesign.

At Dorset HealthCare we’re on a mission to empower people to make the most of their lives through our outstanding, joined-up healthcare services. We’re a dynamic, forward looking Trust, running 12 community hospitals, specialist inpatient facilities and a wide range of integrated community and mental health services for a population of almost 800,000 people.

We do things differently here – it’s one of the reasons the CQC rated us ‘outstanding’ in 2019. It’s also why 95% of patients across our services say they have a good or very good experience of our services and 89% of staff feel they can really make a difference. Whether you’re looking to work with us in one of our bustling market towns, vibrant urban locations, thriving seaside spots, or among the rolling hills of Dorset, there are lots of ways you can make a difference in our communities.

Our 7,000-strong workforce is at the heart of what we do and our success is a testament to our brilliant people. We're all about building a workplace for the future, we believe in equal opportunities and we celebrate diversity. We’re an inclusive workplace, where everyone is welcome, everyone can be authentic, and we are all encouraged to be the best version of ourselves.

Working with us you’ll be part of a strong team, challenge yourself, build a career, and teach us what we don’t know. And you’ll be working towards our vision to be better every day through excellence, compassion and expertise in all we do
