About the Role
What You'll Do
- Conduct regular manager meetings with respective business units and act as the primary consultant, providing P&C guidance when needed.
- Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with the P&C group to develop solutions, programs and policies.
- Manage and resolve employee relations issues and conduct effective, thorough and objective investigations when necessary.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance, and partner with external legal counsel as needed.
- Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to managers (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
- Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and improve retention.
- Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation to employee inquiries.
- Review domestic and international contract terms for new hires, promotions and transfers.
- Annually review and update country-specific handbooks and policies.
- Provide partnership on business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planning for managers.
- Support managers in identifying development needs for business units based on current department trends and performance.
- Perform other People & Culture related duties as assigned to support overall departmental objectives.
What You'll Need
- Minimum of 5 years of experience resolving complex employee relations issues.
- Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee relations, diversity, performance management, and international, federal and state respective employment laws.
- Credential or Bachelor’s in Human Resource Management or other related field preferred. SHRM or PHR Certification a plus.
- Proven experience supporting international teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Superior organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies.
- Ability to acquire a thorough understanding of the organization's hierarchy, jobs, qualifications, compensation practices, and the administrative practices related to those factors.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
