About this job

It’s an incredible transformational time for the Supply Chain function, as they embark on a period of change and transformation, whilst continuing to deliver exceptional service to our CFUs, alongside navigating through the pandemic and Brexit challenges. The function is different to those traditionally sitting in Corporate Unit and as such requires a business partner flexible to address the varying requirement of the business. The role also supports the small Pelipod business, which requires more day to day HR support due to not sitting on BT HR systems.
As a team that is continuing to evolve the HR Business Partners in this space are at the forefront of critical business transformations. This role is critical in executing people initiatives, providing great internal customer support, and driving functional excellence and process improvement. The role requires flexibility between strategic people and business guidance to the leadership, whilst ensuring the unique people operational requirements are delivered. Candidates therefore must be highly robust, thorough, engaging and inspiring.

Your responsibilities

  • Partners with the business to implement a range of effective HR solutions to support the overall BT People strategy.
  • Delivers across a range of HR practices such as workforce planning, performance, employee engagement, organisational design and development, and talent & leadership development and employee relations to meet current and future workforce needs.
  • Coaches leaders to build and develop leadership capability.
  • Leads and project manages transformation and change programmes. Understands the key drivers of change and people impacts and uses a range of change management tools and techniques.
  • Accountable for stewarding, leading and partnering with the business, ensuring all business activities are carried out in accordance with local legislative requirements, which enhance and protect BT for now and the future
  • Works with the Supply Chain LT to have right skills in the right place, at the right time aligned to our overall strategy
  • Partner with the People Transformation Lead for some of the scaled transformation programmes underway within Supply Chain.
  • Day to day point person for people-related matters for the Pelipod/Final Mile business, including managing payroll.

  • Policy and practice: You anticipate and recognise obstacles in policies and processes between teams. You make suggestions for ongoing improvements, facilitating relationships between teams.
  • System thinking: You provide technical expertise to evaluate the impacts and links between structure, people, process and technology. You think through the whole systems context, new perspectives and insight before taking on projects
  • Data Analytics: uses strong analytical skills and intuition to analyse data and interpret business insights and trends. Uses data to support decision making and develops the best solutions.
  • HR Mastery: strong technical HR knowledge and its practical application
  • Attention to detail and prioritisation skills
