Job description

Description

AXA Retail are recruiting a HR Business Partner to join them on a 6 month fixed term contract basis. You will be joining an immediate team of 5 Business Partners and a Senior Business Partner, and a wider team of BP's spread across the UK, so you'll have the right support, opportunities to learn and share your knowledge.

You'll be responsible for the account management of HR within your respective business area, relationship managing senior leaders in the organisation and ensuring their people plans are aligned to the business strategy. In this 6 month fixed term contract you'll work closely with Retail business stakeholders and external consultants across AXA Retail Insurance, to influence and steer strategy, driving change to develop people capability and support AXA's ambition of empowering more people to be the best version of themselves.

At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least 40% of your week away from home, either at one of our office locations, visiting clients or attending industry events.

What you'll be doing:

  • People Planning – Implement and influence our strategic people plans to enable the delivery of business strategy. You'll own and implement specific initiatives within the people plan, such as Talent Development, Health & Wellbeing and Better Data, working with the SLT management teams to develop leadership capability
  • Day to Day Support - Work closely with managers to support them to lead their teams effectively. Providing insightful analysis of management information enabling effective people, cost and risk management. You'll build strong relationships with the HR Centres of Excellence to ensure we can deliver for the business. Ensure working relationships are established to coordinate and present a single voice of support to the business. You'll be a sounding board for managers to share their questions / concerns and ensure they are using the HR structure correctly, but act as the ‘expert' as needed
  • Building Organisational and People Capability – Lead succession planning processes and ensure achievable talent plans are in place to create a pipeline of talent and sustainable organisational capability, including holding the SLT to account to make ‘brave' decisions around development. Lead on organisational design and change management, coaching business leaders on its effective implementation and strategies for successful change
  • Culture & behaviours – Drive a culture of business ownership and accountability for people management practices to ensure HR policy, systems and procedures are embedded. Role model the HR Identity, championing AXA's values and behaviours and demonstrating competence against the AXA UK HRBP competency framework, demonstrating a positive and “can-do” mindset. You'll be a positive contributor to the HRBP team, collaborating, sharing and learning
