AfC Band 3 (£25,468-£27,486 pro rata) plus a High Secure Environmental Allowance of £1,591.56 per annum (pro rata)
Hours – 26 per week, the working pattern can be worked flexibility and will be agreed with the successful post holder
Contract Duration – Fixed Term/ Secondment until 31 March 2024 due to covering secondment

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the State Hospital for the position of Human Resource Assistant on a fixed term basis due to a secondment within the department. The role supports the HR Advisors and Head of HR to provide a comprehensive HR service to the Hospital. This role is an opportunity to gain experience in a wide range of HR services such as recruitment, employee relations, terms and conditions of service and policy advice and guidance within the NHS.
The ideal candidate will be highly motivated with excellent organisational and communication skills and the ability to deal with highly confidential information in a mature and sensitive manner. They should ideally have experience of HR systems and be IT literate with standard Microsoft packages. They should possess or be working towards Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development (CIPD) qualification or have relevant HR experience.
The postholder will provide a comprehensive administrative service, working closely with the HR Advisors to update and maintain a range of HR systems. The HR Assistants are often the first point of contact with the HR Team and will liaise with managers and staff on a daily basis assisting with their queries as appropriate.
