We are delighted to be adding a permanent HR Assistant role to the HR team at the Glasgow School of Art.
A pivotal role in our busy HR department, the HR Assistant is the first point of contact for colleagues across the Glasgow School of Art seeking HR assistance. The postholder works closely with the wider HR team to provide an efficient, professional and supportive HR service, whilst maintaining confidentiality, discretion and security at all times.
Reporting to the HR Manager and working collaboratively with the HR team, duties will include responding to standard HR queries; supporting the efficient administration of HR files; providing advice and guidance to recruiting managers on all basic recruitment related matters; and generating reports and statistics.
The ideal candidate will be an effective communicator who works methodically across a range of tasks. Educated to Higher level (or equivalent) or with relevant experience within a similar post, a comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office is essential and advanced knowledge of Excel is desirable.
