Gap Trading have a fabulous opportunity for a HR Assistant to join our client in Leeds.

Our client is a renowned manufacturer based in Leeds.

You will support the HR Manager in resolving HR queries from employees at all levels, as well as championing initiatives within the business and playing a key role in delivering meaningful internal communications for the business.

You will have CIPD Level 3, the company is willing to offer support towards

Location: Leeds

Salary: £30.000

Shift: Monday-Friday 08:30-17:00

Duties:

  • Prepare and coordinate new hire documentation.
  • Oversee, schedule and manage performance reviews
  • Act as first point of contact and guide employees and managers on routine HR queries, with awareness and understanding of HR policies and procedures - escalating as required.
  • Maintain holiday and sickness absence records and data.
  • Prepare various HR documents, standard reports, forms and communication.
  • Create presentations and reports on HR metrics.
  • Support Department Heads with recruitment related activities, including arranging interviews and producing relevant correspondence such as offer letters and contracts.
  • Conducting pre-employment checks and referencing.
  • Ensure all work is carried out within employment legislation requirements and HR best practice.
  • Maintain and update employees' data, including holiday, sickness, absence, achievement records and personal data.
  • Provide administrative support with the wider annual HR plan such as Learning and Development, and Employee Satisfaction.
  • Provide administrative support for team events, engagement initiatives and internal communications.
  • Ensuring all paperwork is collected and any changes/adjustments made for the monthly payroll.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication channels with third party providers, HR colleagues and internal stakeholders.

Skills & experience:

  • CIPD Level 3
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • The flexibility and willingness to learn
  • Professional and confident manner always
  • Highly organised and able to work within set deadlines
  • Comfortable working independently and able to use their initiative.
  • Strong team player.
  • IT skills, including word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Be confident and proactive, to react quickly and efficiently to all situations.
