Citi is looking for Apprentices to join our thriving Human Resources (HR) function. Our Apprentice programme will provide you with opportunities to gain experience and exposure to a range of generalist and specialist HR teams such as Talent Acquisition, HR Professional Services and Employee Relations. Successful candidates will learn about the HR life cycle and gain invaluable experience working as part of a diverse team. You will learn the skills needed for the role by job shadowing other team members, gain exposure to different stakeholders and teams and most importantly, be provided with the support needed to set you up for a successful career at Citi.

We’re committed to investing in your professional development as you embark on your career journey in Human Resources. During the program you will study for the Level 3 Certificate in Business Administration which will be combined with on the job training. Aside from your peer group and manager, you will have a buddy and a dedicated program manager whilst on program plus access to Citi’s online training portal. You will benefit from side by side job shadowing and coaching with your team combined with the opportunity to work in one of the world’s largest investment banks.
Program Responsibilities
Depending on your rotation allocation you can expect to get involved in some of the below activities:
Employee lifecycle – we will give you exposure to the employee lifecycle which will include everything from recruitment through to retirement. We will provide you with the opportunity to work with HR specialists whose services have an impact on the employment relationship including Learning, Mobility, Benefits and Reward.
Data Management – Aside from our human capital our data is our greatest asset. You’ll learn how to safely store, access and analyse data to inform decision making and support the business.
Policies, Procedures and Projects – You will play a part in the administration of our busy function. You’ll develop expertise in our HR systems, our internal policies and procedures and get involved in critical projects.
We want to hear from you if you have…
At least 1 A-Level or equivalent in any subject
5 GCSE passes with A-C grades in English & Math’s or equivalent
Successful applicants for this opportunity will have to be enrolled on to the Belfast Met Level 3 Course
Offers of apprenticeship employment can only be made to those who can secure a place on the Business Administration Apprenticeship course with Belfast Met College. This will require meeting both the course entry criteria set by the College and the eligibility criteria set by the Department of Economy NI for the Apprenticeship NI programme. Exceptional candidates who do not meet this criteria may be considered for the role provided they have the necessary skills and experience.
