People Analyst
Location: Agile; between home, Newport and Cardiff
Salary: £31,591.00 per annum

An exciting opportunity has arisen in our People Function for a permanent People Analyst. You will be working alongside the team to use people metrics to develop appropriate plans to address people priorities, issues, and challenges.
As the People Analyst your focus will be to drive the delivery of functional changes, which will include process improvements, technology changes and compliance/regulatory compliance within the UK Senior Manager Certification Regimes.
You will ensure the appropriate focus on risk continues to be in place with the evolving risk culture and appetite of the Society.
We are looking for individuals with strong analytical capabilities, who are skilled at seeking out insight and researching future strategic opportunities. You’ll be responsible for developing and implementing high quality, insightful reporting and analytic solutions for stakeholders across the Society, driving people insights.

What will you be doing?
As the People Analyst, you will be responsible for:
- Helping the People Function by providing Business Intelligence and MI to relevant committee meetings and providing reports and presentations to the Society executives and governance committees.
- Understanding the data landscape of the Society from various data sources and using this to support delivery of People and Society strategy.
- Managing the functions risk register, acting as risk champion.
- Administering and maintaining annual Fitness & Propriety Checks for colleagues classified under the Certification and SMF Regimes.
- Building strong relationships around the Society and acting as an advocate for the use of data across the Society.
What type of person will you need to be?
The ideal candidate will have at least:
- Experience of SMCR (Senior Managers Certification Regime) and relevance compliance checks.
- Critical thinking and strong analytical capabilities, excellent Microsoft excel package exposure (Advanced Excel required).
- The ability to engage and influence business users to understand their needs and deliver against these.
- Strong presentation skills.
- Strong attention to detail and minimal tolerance of analytical errors.
- Excellent communication & interpersonal skills.
- Well organised, methodical, accurate, eye for detail.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information in line with the Society’s rules and policies.
- Understanding of the Human Resources function and role.
- Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative.
