Brief DescriptionThe HRA Talent Acquisition Coordinator will support the Talent Acquisition team by providing support to all phases of the full-cycle recruitment process and conduct full-cycle recruitment for entry-level positions: Post positions, disposition entry-level applicants, coordinate and schedule candidate interviews, initiate and monitor background checks, confirm finalized offers, and setting up candidates’ onboarding to include new hire orientation. Performs professional level human resource functions in the HR department. Work involves the administration, implementation, and maintenance of programs, policies, procedures, and state and federal statutes in the human resources areas of recruiting and employment, compensation, benefits, workers compensation and safety, employee relations, staff development, county’s civil service systems and special projects, and time and attendance. Interprets policies and procedures and establishes effective relationships with departments. Works under general supervision with limited independent judgment related to hr matters and resolve routine issues and answers routine inquiries.
Detailed DescriptionPerforms professional level hr tasks for an assigned area related to recruiting and employment, compensation and benefits, workers compensation and safety, employee relations and staff development, payroll and time and attendance. Assists in researching, compiling, and analyzing data for correspondence, reports, and briefing as well as conducts or assist in with special projects/studies related to the hr areas of salary administration (surveys), benefits, staff development, workers compensation, turnover (hiring/terminations), and other hr related studies. Assists with new employee orientation, civil service hearings, unemployment compensation, employee insurance programs, and the planning, developing, revising, and implementation of HR activities, processes, policies, procedures, standards, practices, and systems to ensure compliance with applicable laws. Maintains databases and electronic statistics on work product and employee information, and assists in preparing various reports as required. Assists with researching, investigating, and resolving routine problems, disputes, and issues. Assists in reviewing prevailing practices among the industry and recommending revisions to program design to improve program effectiveness and efficiencies. May prepare and conduct basic level training program, including preparation and assembling of training materials and other training documents, scheduling of training classes and seminars, and setting up training room. Performs other duties as assigned.
Job RequirementsEducation and experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration, Human Resources, or in a job related field of study. Two (2) years of demonstrated progressive experience equivalent to Human Resources Analyst, Senior or Human Resources Officer. Skilled in the use of standard software applications. Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing, and establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, departments and the general public. Ability to gather, analyze and organize data, and make practical recommendations; learn, interpret, and apply procedures; basic knowledge of the principle of human resource management and practices. Demonstrates a high level of confidentiality. Standard office environment.
