NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced HR professional to join our Human Resources team.

Working within the Human Resources Support and Advice Unit, the post holder will provide a responsive, professional and high quality customer focused service to managers and staff across NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde.

You will be educated to degree-level, or equivalent with relevant postgraduate qualification, or be able to demonstrate knowledge gained through significant practical experience in an HR generalist role within the NHS. It is essential that the post-holder will have a good working knowledge of policies, procedures and terms and conditions of service relevant to the range of staff groups within the organisation.

Applicants should have membership of the CIPD.

Travel across NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde will be a requirement and the successful candidate must have a driver’s license and access to a personal car. Mileage and expenses can be reclaimed.

This is an Agile post and the hours are worked Monday-Friday, 7 ½ hour shifts covering 8am-4pm/9am-5pm/10am-6pm dependent on service needs. May be required to work 5 days over 7 days per week or on occasion out with 8am-6pm.
