An opportunity has arisen for an experienced HR professional to join our Human Resources team.
Working within the Human Resources Support and Advice Unit, the post holder will provide a responsive, professional and high quality customer focused service to managers and staff across NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde.
In order to succeed you will need to have a proactive and flexible approach with experience working in complex, unionised environments. You should be skilled in managing employee relations casework with the ability to work autonomously; managing your own caseload.
You will be responsible for the provision of generalist Human Resources advice and support across a range of issues including employee relations, employment legislation, change and redesign, terms and conditions and staff governance whilst working in partnership.
Within this role you will deal with staff, staff side representatives and managers at all levels within the organisation. As a result you should be customer focused with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
You will contribute to the implementation and review of Human Resources policy and will support the development and maintenance of toolkits, standing operating procedures and guidance on the Human Resources portal as well as the development and delivery of policy training and associated awareness sessions.
You will be educated to degree-level, or equivalent with relevant postgraduate qualification, or be able to demonstrate knowledge gained through significant practical experience in an HR generalist role within the NHS. It is essential that the post-holder will have a good working knowledge of policies, procedures and terms and conditions of service relevant to the range of staff groups within the organisation.
Applicants should have membership of the CIPD.
Travel across NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde will be a requirement and the successful candidate must have a driver’s license and access to a personal car. Mileage and expenses can be reclaimed.
This is an Agile post and the hours are worked Monday-Friday, 7 ½ hour shifts covering 8am-4pm/9am-5pm/10am-6pm dependent on service needs. May be required to work 5 days over 7 days per week or on occasion out with 8am-6pm.
