Job Title: Senior HR/ER Advisor
Location: Head Office
Reporting to: HR Director
Responsible for: No direct reports
Pay: Up to £30,000 PA
Hours: 37.5h Per Week
Days: Monday to Friday
Main purpose of job: Working in a small team to provide a robust and credible HR service to the colleague population. Being instrumental in driving the strategic HR agenda to continually improve colleague experience whilst mitigating risk and creating a platform for future growth.
Responsibilities/Duties:
- Deputising for the HR Director in their absence
- Providing all aspects of generalist HR advice, including disciplinary, grievance and performance management and coaching line managers through the process.
- Supporting line managers with absence management and any long term welfare discussions and occupational health reviews
- Being a point of escalation for more complex employee relations cases
- Leading TUPE activity
- Key point of contact with ACAS
- Conducting exit interviews
- Undertaking ad hoc projects in line with company objectives
- Working with the HRD to create and implement colleague engagement initiatives
- Reviewing policies and processes to ensure they are fit for purpose
- Maintaining up to date knowledge of developments in Employment Law, Case Law and HR best practice and making necessary recommendations
- Driving the strategic Learning and development agenda.
- Working closely with the Payroll Manager
Relationships
- Business partnering assigned line managers to achieve in line with the company objectives
- Creating high value relationships with key stakeholders and sharing best practice with the HR team
- Enhancing the HR team credibility by always behaving with professionalism and maintaining high standards of confidentiality.
Compliance and Reporting:
- HRIS and GDPR champion
Accountable for all required documentation being accurate and in date
- Assisting with collating and analyzing the people key performance indicators
Qualifications or Required Experience:
- At least 5 years’ experience in an HR Advisor capacity ideally in a blue collar environment
- Educated to at least CIPD Level 3
- Strong influencing and interpersonal skills with proven ability to quickly build relationships with stakeholders
- Articulate, innovative and challenging mindset with strong collaborative style yet unafraid to challenge where necessary
- Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to work with high case loads.
- Excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills with meticulous attention to detail.
