We have an exciting opportunity within our Human Resource Team for an HR Advisor to join a purpose-driven company and an employer of choice. As a member of the HR Team you will be expected to support all aspects of human resources working practices and processes. People are our most important asset and you’ll be part of a team who support a happy and productive workplace where everyone works to realise the Company’s ongoing business objectives.
You will be involved with supporting and managing activities such as recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training and development.
What we ask of you:
- To provide support, guidance and advice to managers and employees in HR practice, policy, procedure and employment legislation.
- Coach managers as appropriate to increase their ability to handle employee relation matters.
- Manage the absence process across the Company, ensuring policy, procedures and employment legislation are adhered to at all times.
- Manage any long-term absences (over 4 weeks), arriving at a prompt resolution to suit the employee’s medical condition and the business.
- Co-ordinate the occupational health programme across the site ensuring all legal requirements are met.
- Support and advise managers with all disciplinary and grievance matters in accordance with current company policy.
- Manage the recruitment, new starter and induction process, ensuring that policy and procedures and employment legislation are adhered to at all times.
- Support to L&D, identifying training needs and booking of courses as appropriate.
- Provide advice and guidance to managers and employees on all HR, L&D and employee relations issues and policies (e.g. discipline, compensation and benefits, performance management).
- Work with the HR Manager to deliver the HR objectives as per the agreed plan.
- Liaise with the health and safety and environment departments as required due to occupational health requirements, legislation changes and employee matters as they arise.
- Lead the Company’s wellbeing programme.
