Job Title: HR Advisor (M&A)
Location: Remote working with occasional travel required (field-based). We ideally seek candidates in the Midlands area but may consider other locations.

The HR Advisor will work within the M&A (Mergers and Acquisitions) team in a varied role at a truly exciting time.
Job Summary:
· The successful candidate will provide exceptional HR service to our newly acquired companies, coach and support line managers to develop high-performing teams and deliver an excellent customer experience to both internal and external customers.
· You will provide support to line managers to manage employee relations cases effectively, onboard employees, ensure proactive recruitment and support ongoing personal development, talent and succession planning, acting as the first point of contact for all M&A HR related enquiries.
· This role reports to the HR Business Partner (M&A) and is field based.
· The expectation is approximately 1-2 days travel per week, with the remainder of the work being remote/home-based. This may vary depending on meetings and projects.
Main Responsibilities:
- Deliver a high standard of employee relations support and case management, including coaching and guidance with disciplinary, grievance, performance management, re-structures, absence, occupational health, exit interviews, TUPE, and providing legislative updates.
- Understand and learn the newly acquired companies’ policies and processes and create a comparison plan to identify what can be learnt, changed, or incorporated.
- Align client groups with our company's HR policies & procedures and employee proposition through coaching and training.
- Support managers in developing high-performing teams and culture through assisting with recruitment.
- Work with M&A leads on people MI data, including weekly and monthly metrics.
- Support the M&A work streams and integrate colleagues into the company (contractually and procedurally).
- Support on harmonisation and integration, and brief managers on new terms and condition discussions.
- Work alongside the HR Coordinator to collate mapping data for harmonisation, generate contracts in line with business integrations, and support and audit immigration and right to work documentation to ensure we remain legally compliant.
- Work with operational teams to develop employee engagement plans and improve employee retention for each team, resulting in a demonstrable improvement in colleague engagement scores.
Skills and Experience:
- Demonstrable experience of managing complex employee relations cases and coaching line managers.
- Experience in supporting organisations with restructures, talent, and succession planning.
- Confident, articulate communicator – both orally and in writing; able to build relationships with all employees, from site-based colleagues to senior management.
- Experience in delivering training programmes in a classroom environment.
- Excellent organisational skills; able to manage numerous responsibilities at once.
- A good understanding of UK employment law and legislation.
- Competent in analysing data and using Excel.
