Salary circa £40,000 per annum
As P&O Ferries grows, we are looking to appoint an experienced HR Advisor to join our central Peoples Team. In this pivotal role you will provide comprehensive Employee Relations advise and guidance to managers across P&O Ferries both here in Channel House but across our ports so the ability to travel is essential for this role.
Location: Dover based we offer flexible working, and you must be willing to travel to ports across the UK as and when required.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR Advisor to join a well-established and leading organisation, supporting the HR BP’s to continuously review and improve HR practises and policies and key to this role is understanding and having experience within a Unionised company.
Key elements of the role:
- Managing and maintaining policies
- Provide support for employee relation cases including disciplinary, grievance, performance, and flexible working
- Maintain accurate reporting of al absence management, grievance, and disciplinary issues
- Support with legal compliance regarding employee relation cases
- Prepare documentation for trade union meetings.
About you:
- Demonstrable HR experience especially within ER
- Experience of working within a unionized business
- Strong stakeholder management skills, able to engage and influence at all levels of the organization
- Must be willing to travel to Dover and across our ports in Hull, Liverpool as well as Ireland and Scotland
- Proven track record within a customer focused operational business which is fast moving
