Based in Darlington they have an exiting opportunity for an HR Advisor to join their small team. The role: This is a varied role, which will encompass all aspects of HR - an exciting opportunity for an existing Advisor or a strong HR Administrator looking to progress to the next step in their career. You will be a confident communicator, who has a passion for working with people. The successful candidate will play a pivotal part in the busy HR Team to provide a comprehensive HR advisory service in a proactive, efficient, and confidential manner. Whilst no two days will be the same, day to day, you'll be responsible for. Taking ownership of the employee lifestyle by providing HR support and advice (both verbal and written) to employees, line managers and Directors. Working proactively and positively to help resolve all employee relations and performance issues in accordance with Company policy and procedures and current employment law. Supporting line managers in dealing with issues such as absences, discipline, grievance and other employee relation matters. Recruitment of various roles; supporting with advert and job description writing, posting job adverts, screening CVs, selecting candidates, organising and partaking in interviews, giving feedback, etc.. All HR related employee onboarding and offboarding, i.e. leading the HR induction process, leading exit interviews and supporting with related paperwork (offer letters, s, etc.). Managing probation and annual review processes with line managers. Leading on the development and implementation of improvements to HR processes as well as reviewing and updating HR policies in line with employment law and company culture. Supporting in delivering the people services in line with Company goals and vision. Building and fostering rapport with all employees. Essential skills and or experience: At least two years' experience in an HR environment, ideally with recruitment and payroll administration experience also. A strong understanding of HR policies and procedures as well as good understanding of employment law. A 'can-do' attitude and mentality, who is used to juggling multiple requirements simultaneously.
