This is a part-time role - 3 days per week. We are open to how these days or hours could work, please let us know what would work for you in your application. The role is based from our offices in central Glasgow, although occasional home-working may be an option.
Where do you fit in?
The nature of a 6-month contract means you will need to focus on making an impact quickly; building solid relationships rapidly and partnering with the business to provide support and guidance on a full range of generalist activities delivering clear results, particularly with regard to ER and absence management case work.
You will be expected to provide a generalist HR support to our employees, getting involved with day-to-day HR activities to provide first line support. You will also lead on-boarding, working on developing our HR policies and procedures, HR admin, management reporting, project work, engagement and employee communication plus lots more.
Working within our HR team, you will deliver a first-class service, helping to ensure the smooth running of our business. As the HR Advisor, your responsibilities will include the provision of effective day to day advice, guidance and administration on various HR matters:
- Be the first point of contact for managers and employees to support and guide regarding HR queries, policies/processes and performance management.
- Supporting on the delivery of key HR projects - Implementing and monitoring HR initiatives.
- Work independently, where possible, with regard to Disciplinary & Grievance case work, following company procedures appropriately.
- Coaching and mentor line managers where performance concerns have been identified, ensuring robust management of Probation and PIP processes.
- Create and deliver in-house HR training for front line and senior managers on HR processes & policies.
- Support in the co-ordination of communication programmes to ensure harmonious employee relations and promote employee engagement.
- Support in all administration matters across the HR function, when required.
Essential Qualifications, Training and Experience:
- CIPD qualified.
- Previous experience working at HR Advisory level within a busy operational environment.
- Clear understanding of UK legislation surrounding all HR activities.

Salary : Up to £40,000 pro-rated.
