The Role:
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR professional to join us in the role of HR Adviser.
Initially reporting to the Policy Consultant, you will be operationally responsible for ensuring that all collective consultation requirements are adhered to across the University. You will regularly gather comprehensive data from the University's HRIS system and other sources, including analysis of reports and ensure follow up actions on the data are taken in adherence with the relevant University procedures. You will help facilitate timely and appropriate collective consultation and advise/support on operational processes to internal stakeholders.
Of particular importance, you will build and develop strong working partnerships with key institutional contacts, trade unions and colleagues to deliver requirements and ensure procedures are followed correctly and mitigate risk. The position will be an ambassador for the HR Division in these interactions.
About You:
To be successful in this role you will need:
- some experience in either a HR generalist or specialist environment, including operational exposure to application of employment law
- experience of working in a unionised environment, and with multiple stakeholders;
- experience of undertaking project work including conducting basic research and collating information to the requisite standard in a timely manner;
- experience of turning policy into pragmatic and highly valuable best practice;
- evidence of application or project management methodology and skills.
You will be professional, collaborative and discreet in your communication with others and sensitive to the needs of stakeholder groups.
