About the role
The School of Archaeology is looking to recruit an HR Administrator with prior experience in administration to join our small and friendly team within the School, in the centre of Oxford. This is a permanent, full-time position.
Reporting to the HR Manager, you will be responsible for providing and maintaining a high standard HR administrative support to the staff within the School of Archaeology. This will include supporting the full employee life-cycle including recruitment, payroll and HR administration. You will be expected to provide a range of generalist HR support, including visa applications, and advice on University processes around recruitment and in post administration. You must be able to manage a busy and varied workload and be able to cope with changing priorities.
About you
You will be educated to A level or equivalent experience, have excellent organisational skills, the ability to communicate effectively and have good attention to detail. You should have excellent IT skills, particularly in using Microsoft Office packages and HR Information Systems; previous experience of using PeopleXD would be beneficial.
You will have experience of working in a HR team / role and managing a range of HR processes. You will have up-to-date knowledge of the employment law, and the ability to handle confidential information with tact and sensitively is essential.
