Job description
Applicants are required to submit a current CV and cover letter
Looking to kickstart your HR career? We are offering a Level 3 apprenticeship in HR Support - including certification from CIPD - to support our Organisational Development team. No experience in HR is necessary, and there are no limitations on age, so whether you're just starting your career or you're looking for a career change - this role could be right for you.
You will support our Organisational Development team in key projects related to the University's gender pay gap, learning and development, competency and behavioural frameworks, data analysis, and health and wellbeing. You'll have a natural interest in these topics, and through the course of your apprenticeship learn how HR and Organisational Development add business value. You'll not only support on projects, but lead workstreams, communicating both with your team and senior stakeholders. You'll learn how to perform HR diagnostics, scope solutions, and project manage them through to completion. You'll learn how to present your ideas, and how HR policy can build organisational culture.
Though no experience is necessary, familiarity with Microsoft 365 products would be beneficial. You'll also be a good communicator, and enjoy working as a team. Working in HR, you'll need initiative, resilience and integrity - and have an appreciation of the sensitive nature of your work. You'll need to be prepared to travel to your apprenticeship training, and though time will be given to you to attend tutorials, you'll possess a high degree of commitment to be able to complete your CIPD qualification.
As well as your line-manager, you'll receive a HR mentor who'll help guide you through your journey. Future jobs could include HR Administrator, Senior HR Administrator, Employee Relations Advisor, HR Business Partner Support, and HR Associate Project Manager. This apprenticeship will be provided by Babington, and further information can be found at: Level 3 HR Support Apprenticeship | Babington
