What you’ll be doing
The scope of Tort Law is particularly broad and offers assistance where a person suffers injury to their physical person or their possessions, damage to their economic interests or interference with their ownership or occupation of land. The Tort Law curriculum at BPP is therefore very exciting and varied, with Tort Law modules across our various programmes covering Negligence, Vicarious Liability, Employers' Primary Liability, Psychiatric Harm, Pure Economic Loss, Nuisance, Occupiers’ Liability and Product Liability.
You will be expected to prepare and deliver high-quality workshops and other seminars, to provide constructive feedback to students, and to support their learning through various teaching methods. You will also be expected to contribute to regular discussions within our Tort Law team and to develop key skills in designing workshop materials and drafting assessment questions. Additionally, every member of the team contributes towards the marking and moderation of assessments.
In addition to teaching Tort Law you will have the opportunity to teach Civil litigation on the LPC and Dispute Resolution on the SQE
What’s in it for you?
A teaching career that is one of the most varied in the legal education sector. Alongside teaching, you’ll be involved in marking assessments and providing pastoral support. You may have the opportunity to develop content and curriculum.
You could also have the opportunity to contribute to internal and external marketing, business development, outreach and employability activities.
