Do you have previous administrative experience and are looking for the next step in your HR career? This is an ideal opportunity for you to join the Finance Division HR team to deliver localised support and make an impact on how processes are implemented and improved.
You will report into the HR division but work alongside the HR Coordinator within the University of Cambridge Finance Division. The Finance Division has 240 staff spread across three main sites in Cambridge. This is an exciting time to join the team as the Finance Division is preparing to undertake a substantial transformation project over the next five years.
The Role
You will be responsible for;
- Providing an outstanding HR service across the Finance Division by delivering expert HR Administration in a timely and effective manner.
- Performing a wide range of HR administration duties, including recruitment, probation, processing and recording leavers, sickness, absence, appraisal records, using the HR information systems.
- Maintain and update the databases, personnel files and HR systems as appropriate.
- Contribute to identification of changes to processes.
- Being a first point of contact for HR queries within the Department.
Your Skills
Part of a small team the role requires excellent teamwork, as well the ability to work confidently and independently.
- You will have previous experience of working in administration;
- Excellent interpersonal skills, as well as keen eye for detail;
- Good ICT skills include the use of Microsoft Office;
- Excellent organisational skills & ability to prioritise own workload;
If you have completed or are working towards CIPD Level 3 or a qualification in a relevant subject this would be an advantage.

Location
The Finance Division has embraced hybrid working and individuals are currently working with their team two days a week from a University site, principally Greenwich House, and three days worked remotely (for those working a standard Mon to Fri week). This arrangement is subject to change and will not form a part of the contractual terms of the role.
Funding for this post is available on a permanent basis.
