Job description
Are you looking for an exciting opportunity in which to develop your Human Resources career in a world-leading academic department and University?
The Department of Physics is looking forward to major developments, including moving to a state-of-the-art, multi-million pound new building due for completion this year. This is an exciting and challenging time for the Department, and we would like to find two highly motivated individuals with a positive attitude towards change and development to join us.
We are seeking two enthusiastic and motivated HR administrators to join a newly structured and still growing HR team. The first post will provide dedicated HR support to one of three research Hubs, and the second post will support the wider departmental HR team, focusing on coordinating the recruitment and visitor processes, undertaking projects, and also providing cover for absences from elsewhere in the HR team as necessary. Both positions are busy and varied, and have plenty of scope for training and development.
You will possess excellent interpersonal and administrative skills, and have the ability to work well within a team, fostering good working relationships with a wide variety of people from all over the world. You should be proficient in all standard Microsoft Office packages, highly organised, self-motivated, and able to prioritise your workload within a demanding environment. Tact and discretion are essential when handling confidential information and documents, and you will have excellent attention to detail. The Department is committed to supporting training and development opportunities such as CIPD accreditation. Previous HR experience is desirable but not essential.
We welcome applications from individuals who wish to be considered for part-time working or other flexible working arrangements.
