Job Introduction

The starting salary for this position is £26,569 per annum based on a 36-hour working week.

An exciting new role is becoming available within the Gateway to Resources Team, due to the current post holder being promoted within the team. We are looking for a Senior Administrator in the Resource Review team which sits within the Gateway to Resources Service.

About the Team

The Resource Review team is a supportive and developing team who work in partnership with other professionals and agencies to ensure that children and young people live in suitably matched placements that will achieve positive outcomes. This could be within foster care, children’s homes or supported accommodation/semi-independent accommodation. The team undertake quality assurance and contract management visits to ensure that children and young people are properly safeguarded in the homes that they live in and that their outcomes are promoted.

In addition to the Resource Review team, the Gateway to Resources Service also includes an Allocations Team which is responsible for the identification of placements for Children Looked After and Care Leavers along with the SEND Admissions Team whose responsibility is to find educational placements for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). As well as providing administrative support to the Resource Review Team it will be necessary to provide administrative support, from time to time, to the wider Gateway to Resources Service.

About the Role

As a Senior Team Administrator, you will play a key role in the provision of a high quality and responsive support to Children's Service teams with oversight of workflow management.

Due to the nature of the role, the need for confidentiality is vital as you will be working with sensitive data involving children, young people, and their families. As a Senior Team Administrator, you will need to provide and manipulate data for statistical purposes and run and present standard reports. You will work collaboratively with team members to provide a high quality and efficient administration service.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has a solid background in administration and has excellent customer service and communication skills,
  • Has experience of working with databases and spreadsheets, including excellent Microsoft Office skills,
  • Has experience of managing deadlines and balancing priorities,
  • Is confident, organised, and able to implement a proactive approach to work,
  • Has experience within the Social Care Sector, or wants to learn more about Social Care,
  • Is motivated and works well in a fast-paced environment.
