About the Role

Our HR team at the RIBA provide an outstanding service to our colleagues, helping them in turn to do great work for our members. We are working on a number of exciting people projects as a team this year which will have a positive impact on the organisation and are looking for a talented, committed, and enthusiastic HR Administrator to join our vibrant HR team as we continue to support our colleagues.

As a first point of contact for HR, it is essential to have a strong customer-focussed approach with good verbal and written communication skills when liaising with colleagues at all levels. This busy role will provide administrative support to the team across the full employee lifecycle, from uploading job adverts, collating CV’s, handling employment contracts and new starter documentation to maintaining our HR database and processing leavers and role changes plus proactively manage the main HR inbox resolving employee queries, escalating issues where necessary.

What are we looking for?

To succeed in this role, you will need to be exceptionally organised, with the ability to multi-task and manage your workload effectively, possessing an excellent attention to detail and a thorough, methodical approach to tasks. You will be highly IT literate (including MS Office software), be able to manipulate data in Excel, and demonstrate good numeracy skills for salary calculations. Ideally, you will have experience of maintaining records / databases as well as accurate data-entry.

Whilst previous HR experience is not essential, this is an exciting opportunity for someone who is keen to secure exposure in HR at an administrative level within a friendly and supportive team, where you will be mentored by an experienced and passionate HR team and be able to make your mark by involvement in some exciting and interesting projects impacting the organisation.
