About the Trust

Wythenshawe Hospital is a major acute teaching hospital. We are recognised as a centre of clinical excellence and providing district general hospital services and specialist tertiary services to our local community.

What you’ll be responsible for:

· Setting up, revising and implementation of policies and procedures surrounding office functions to continually improve service provision, some of which, may impact beyond own working area

· Work closely with the Operational Manager to develop the existing administration procedures

· Assist in the induction of new procedures and systems

· Induction training for new starters and evaluation in accordance with changes in procedures, systems and processes.

You’ll learn the following whilst working at the trust:

· An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS

· Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times

· A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation

You’ll have the following skills/experience:

· Excellent communication skills.

· Excellent organisational skills.

· Knowledge of Microsoft Packages e.g. Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

· Excellent telephone manner.

· Previous experience in a similar role.
