Role

HR Administrator

Responsible to:

Operational Lead

Hours per week

37.5 hours

Salary

£14 per hour

1 year fixed term

Aim

Birmingham SmartCare are currently looking for a HR Administrator to support the delivery and efficiency of people management within the Federation.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date confidential HR records in electronic format
  • Assisting with recruitment, posting job adverts, screening CVs, coordinating recruitment days, arranging interviews etc
  • Preparing documentation for new starters, current employees and leavers
  • Maintaining up-to-date job descriptions, contracts, performance reviews etc
  • Preparing timesheets on a monthly basis for bank staff
  • Monitoring holiday / absence records and liaising with payroll
  • Arranging and monitoring employee training
  • Contributing to the implementation of HR policies and procedures
  • Completion of Rotas across all services
  • General office duties, as required, to assist in the smooth running of the business

Skills

  • You have Good computer skills with a high level of attention to detail.
  • You have the ability to communicate effectively and are confident to work both independently and as part of a larger team, whilst using own initiative.
  • Being able to prioritise your workload is a key skill of yours and you ensure you meet deadlines
  • You're flexible, with a ‘can-do’ approach and enjoy being part of a team
  • You understand and respect the sensitivity of HR information and ensure confidentiality is maintained at all times

Other

  • Previous HR administration experience desirable
  • Meets DBS reference standards and has a clear criminal record, in line with the law on spent convictions
  • Willingness to work flexible hours when required to meet work demands
  • Access to own transport
