The Hark Platform is helping alert Energy Managers and Asset Operators, through machine learning and advanced statistics, to abnormalities across their estate, informing actions such as preventative maintenance, regulatory compliance, asset control and energy management.
With the ability to connect to existing assets such as Building Management Systems, Energy Systems, Process Automation Controllers (used to power factories and industrial systems) the Hark Platform is enabling intelligent solutions across large estates connectivity, visibility, and intelligence.
Hark have deployed successful solutions within the Life Sciences sector for cold chain monitoring, a nationwide rollout of real-time energy monitoring capability for UK Supermarkets across 600+ locations, as well as licensed the technology to Fortune 500 companies in the industrial space.
Hark are controlling assets such as Lights, HVAC systems and Energy Storage assets for a varied set of purposes which creates future business opportunities, as these solutions use the same technology and same underlying core platform.
We are working with 2 of the top 4 supermarkets (Sainsburys and Asda) and have solutions deployed across retail, life sciences and manufacturing. About The Role
The role of HR & Admin Officer at Hark works together with our senior leadership team to run day-to-day HR activities of the business to ensure the team have the best possible experience.
Someone who is well organised, passionate about growing relationships, engaging with people, creating award winning work experiences, and is keen to stay up to date with industry news and trends is ideal.
This role involves processing employee data, updating and communicating company policies and assisting in the hiring process.
Must haves
- You are an enthusiastic, positive person
- Work experience as an HR & Admin Officer, HR Administrative Assistant or similar role
- You understand HR systems and applicable legislation such as Employment, Health and Safety, Equality, Data Protection.
- You have excellent verbal and written communication skills and would be comfortable presenting to a small team.
- You like to get stuck in and are not afraid of asking questions
- You take pride in producing top-quality work and hold extremely high standards
- You like to try new things and learn new skills
- Youre organised and dont fear last minute changes
- Youre looking for a long-term career with a healthy work/life balance

Nice to haves
- Experience using spreadsheets and Microsoft Excel
- Familiarity with HR software and its capabilities such as People HR and Perkbox
- A degree in Human Resource Management or equivalent
- Youve got an eye for building relationships and partnerships
Responsibilities
- As a HR & Admin Officer at Hark, you'll need to:
- Maintain physical and digital personnel records such as employment contracts
- Update internal databases with joiners, leavers and movers information
- Create and distribute guidelines and FAQ documents about company policies
- Collect and manage payroll data like bank accounts and working days
- Publish and remove job ads
- Schedule job interviews and contact candidates as needed
- Prepare reports and presentations on HR-related metrics like total number of hires by department
- Develop training and onboarding material
- Respond to employees questions about benefits (for example, number of annual leave days theyre eligible for)
