Initially Baillieston moving to Eurocentral from summer 2023
Due to an increase in work on our Howdens Joinery contract, Wincanton are recruiting for a number of Warehouse Operatives
- Monday – Friday 10pm to 6am Night Shifts
- £13.75 per hour
- Permanent Contract
- 40 hours per week with paid breaks
- Overtime paid at time & half basic rate after 40 hours worked
- 25% unsocial hours premium
How will you contribute?
- Warehouse duties including picking stock accurately and efficiently using handheld device to scan
- Items to be loaded onto pallets
- Checking of picked stock and assembled loads prior to dispatch
- Ensuring quality is of the highest standards and all stock is handled with care, so it arrives at our customers in perfect condition
- Ensuring areas are kept clean and tidy
- Working in a team environment in a safe manner adhering to site Health & Safety regulations and Safe Systems of Work
- A range of duties to support the operational efficiency and general housekeeping and hygiene standards of the warehouse and site
What will you bring?
- Previous warehouse experience is advantageous
- FLT Counterbalance and reach experience is advantageous
- Attention to detail to accurately enable the correct picking of stock
- Have appropriate hand, eye and foot coordination to effectively use mechanical handling equipment safely
- You will be reliable, self-motivated, a strong team player and will have a flexible approach to work
