Job description
- Manage and supervise the daily operations of the housekeeping department, ensuring that all guest rooms, public areas, and back of house areas are cleaned and maintained to a high standard.
- Ensure that the housekeeping team is trained and equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to carry out their duties effectively and efficiently.
- Schedule and supervise the work of housekeeping attendants, ensuring that tasks are completed in a timely manner and to a high standard.
- Carry out inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure that cleanliness and hygiene standards are maintained to a high standard.
- Respond to guest complaints and requests for service in a timely and professional manner, ensuring that all guest needs are met.
- Ensure that all housekeeping equipment and supplies are stored, used, and maintained correctly and in accordance with hotel policies and procedures.
- Work closely with the Executive Housekeeper and other department heads to ensure that all housekeeping activities are coordinated with other hotel operations.
- Maintain accurate records and reports on housekeeping activities, including room occupancy, maintenance requests, and lost and found items.
- Assist with the recruitment, training, and development of housekeeping staff as required.
- Participate in regular meetings with other department heads to ensure effective communication and coordination of hotel operations.
