HOURS: 4/5 days out of 7 including weekend work. Typical shifts 10am-4pm
REPORTING TO: Housekeeping Manager
LOCATION: The Rabbit Hotel & Retreat, Templepatrick 882 Antrim Road, Templepatrick, Ballyclare.
SALARY: £11.42 per hour increasing to £12.42 per hour after 6 month's service
About the role:
We are recruiting for a Housekeeping Assistant to join our wonderful Housekeeping department at The Rabbit Hotel & Retreat. We have 33 uniquely designed bedrooms all home to seriously comfy beds and designed to scandi-inspired style. We offer four room types (Luxe, Comfy, Snug, Attic) which include all the creature comforts such as Nespresso Machine for your morning pick-me-up, Dyson Hairdryer for those GHD's and a Marshall amp for that getting-ready playlist. Not to mention fluffy robes & flip-flops for your trip to The Relaxation Burrow.
As Housekeeping Assistant, you will join a dedicated hard-working team and ensure all hotel accommodation is clean, tidy, and ready for our guests. The successful applicant will have a hard-working attitude, enjoy working as part of a team, and have a keen eye for detail.

Job Description:
Main duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Cleaning and servicing the hotel bedrooms as directed by Housekeeping Supervisor and/or Housekeeping Manager.
- Complete tasks such as making beds, changing linens, vacuuming, sweeping and mopping floors, dusting and polishing furniture and fixtures plus a variety of other cleaning tasks.
- Completing turn-down service including preparing and delivering arrival house cocktails to guests' rooms.
- Using disinfectants and steam-operated sterilizers.
- Adhering to all safety and personal protective equipment, practices, and procedures.
- Working within the guidelines of Health, Safety, Fire, and Hygiene operatives to ensure all staff and guests are safe at all times.
- Maintaining clear, efficient communication with the front desk team ensuring rooms and public areas are serviced in a timely fashion ready for our hotel guests.
Applicant Criteria:
- Previous cleaning experience
- Applicants must be over the age of 18 for legal requirements
- Must have excellent attention to detail.
- Previous hospitality experience (desirable).
- Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience (desirable).
- Work well under pressure and be an excellent team player.
- A flexible approach to working shift patterns.
