Join our housekeeping team working one or two days a week 9.00-15.00.
Our family run youth hostel and activity centre on the edge of Dartmoor national park sleeps up to 125 people, creating a busy environment so this is an ideal position for an individual who enjoys working within an energetic team delivering a positive experience to all our guests.
What you’ll be doing:
- Housekeeping and cleaning: preparing rooms – emptying bins, hoovering, making beds, cleaning bathrooms and straightening out the social spaces.
- Ensure excellent levels of cleanliness are consistent throughout the hostel to meet YHA brand standards
- To ensure that our housekeeping deliver an efficient and time effective service
- Support the hostel to achieve its KPI's and delivers an excellent customer experience

What we’re looking for:
- Ability to self-motivate prioritizing their own time
- Good organizational skills
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn with a degree of flexibility
- Someone who loves working in a team environment, but can also work alone
- Customer facing / Hospitality experience is great but not essential
- Demonstrate previous experience working within housekeeping / Cleaning
- Show good attention to detail and drive for high levels of cleanliness
- Have experience working within a busy hotel, hostel or similar environment
