Job description
This is a lovely, combined Housekeeper Nanny role for a professional family in Blackheath. They live in a casual, 4 bed, 2 bath Georgian home.
We are looking for a kind / nurturing, well balanced person who is invested in the happiness and success of the household and enjoys spending time with a little person.
Both parents are hugely respectful of the role and the value it brings.
They both work from home, sometimes, and they have a dedicated home office.
Duties will include:
- Cleaning and tidying / organising of house, including washing and ironing
- Feeding toddler as required (generally breakfast and a few lunches)
- Taking toddler to morning classes / morning babysitting and then dropping her off at nursery pre or post lunch (potentially picking her up again at 5.45pm if there are work issues)
- Shopping for food and essentials, as necessary
- Dry cleaning drop off / pick up etc.
- Limited dog care (dog walker employed)
- Food prep / meal planning?
- Arranging minor house / garden improvements as required. E.g. instructing local handymen to fix broken things, get stuff painted etc. Chasing down errant gardeners, mouse catchers etc.
This role will suit you if you have confidence / willingness to "get on and do" alongside sense to check on the bigger items and decisions. Relaxed but focused. Kind and trustworthy. Life experience / good levels of common sense. Comfortable in the kitchen (does not have to be an amazing cook!) Good emotional intelligence. Flexibility to work with the family's needs.
