Role Overview
An opportunity has arisen for a Housekeeper to join our amazing team in Newcastle.
Our Housekeepers are a key part of the team, providing a clean, safe and functioning environment for residents, staff and general public, looking after our properties both internally and externally. Assisting the Facilities team in delivering a secure and compliant property through proactive reporting of problems/faults.
Where appropriate attend to soft maintenance requests, key control, grounds maintenance, cleaning and first line emergency response whilst ensuring key documentation is maintained.

For this role, it is desirable that the post holder is able to:
- Maintain strict controls on hazardous materials, in storage and in use, and observe all COSHH regulations and manufacturer’s instructions.
- Ensure that energy, resources and equipment are used in a correct, safe and economical manner in accordance with Company policies and legal requirements.
- Ensure that all accidents and near misses are recorded appropriately.
- Deal with soft maintenance requests.
It is essential that the postholder has:
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to use and act on own initiative without instruction or direction
- A flexible approach to work with a ‘can do’ attitude
- Ability to respond to fire alarms or ad hoc emergency situations while on site
- Takes pride and ownership of tasks and responsibilities
- Effective personal management to ensure all tasks are completed within the expected timeframe.
