Job description
To act as Housekeeper, ensuring patient service and the clinical environment is managed and maintained to appropriate standards. To maintain a high standard of cleanliness without direct supervision. To support the Ward/Department Staff in the smooth running of their area and come into contact with patients. The post holder will be instrumental in ensuring patients nutritional requirements are met. The post holder is required to use their initiative and take responsibility for themselves and the quality of their work and the service they provide to patients.
The Maternity Unit at the Leicester Royal Infirmary & Leicester General Hospital are looking for dynamic motivated housekeepers to work within the maternity service.
This is a busy fast paced environment, and we are looking for housekeepers who can work flexibly to cover a range of shifts including days, twilights, bank holidays and weekends. We have 34.5hrs available at Leicester Royal Infirmary & 17.5hrs at Leicester General Hospital site. As a valuable member of the team you will be responsible for assisting to maintain a high standard of patient care and maintaining excellence standards of ward cleanliness.
Experience in the care setting would be desirable but not essential. We are looking for enthusiastic individuals who are hard working with good communication and organizational skills. You will ensure the clinical environment is maintained to the appropriate standards. You will be instrumental in ensuring patients nutritional requirements are met.

Start date will be with the next care certificate induction.
