Fairways is a small friendly run, 28 bed residential care home. The whole team are welcoming and supportive of each other, and we are now looking to find two full time Housekeepers to join our team.

As a Housekeeper you will not only have high standards of infection control in keeping the home and the resident’s rooms clean and tidy but at times supporting our residents by chatting to them and offering tea/coffee. Ideally, you should have some previous experience in housekeeping, but full training will be provided.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Undertaking general cleaning tasks in clients’ rooms and communal areas.
• Cleaning to expected standards in line with infection control and hygiene policies and procedures.
• Keeping basic records up to date, including cleaning charts in rooms.
• Getting to know clients’ requirements and preferences and providing a personalised service.

The successful candidate should have:

• The ability to use a range of cleaning equipment.
• Good written English skills to complete cleaning records.
• The ability to read and carry out basic instructions.
• Good team working skills.
• The ability to work flexibly including alternate weekends and bank holidays.
