An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Housekeeper post within Rowan ward.

Responsibilities will include greeting patients, IT and liaison with all members of the multi-disciplinary team, Ensuring a safe, clean organized environment by providing ward support.

Responsible for the delivery of cleaning services throughout a specified area and ensuring that the environment meets the required standards.
Responsible for the organisation and ward support of the ward, prioritising workloads and frequencies of cleaning schedules.
Expected to organise resources and ensure the environment of the ward is clean, tidy and well supplied.
To provide support to both the nursing and clerical staff so as to help in the smooth and efficient running of the ward/unit.

Responsible for the organisation of the ward, ensuring there is always enough supplies to ensure staff can work efficiently.
Undertake duties and daily operational tasks to ensure the smooth running of the housekeeping service and cover reception if required.
Restock equipment and stores ensuring regular stock checks match ward budget and needs.
Create, contribute to and maintain a professional and effective working relationship with patients, visitors and staff members.
Undertake cleaning activities alongside other domestic staff to support the completion of the workload and providing flexibility, assistance and support to other areas of work.
Supervise host/ess service ensuring patients meals are delivered to them as requested and required to ensure the catering support to patient care.
To report any hazards to broken equipment to estates and maintenance.
Ensure that work is carried out to a satisfactory standard.
Adhere to cleaning schedules and demonstrate that cleanliness and environment audits are completed as requested by the Senior Housekeeper, Directorate Head Nurse or Ward Sister/Charge Nurse.
To ensure action plans for improvement regarding relevant areas of responsibility are agreed with the Senior Housekeeper, Directorate Head Nurse/Sister and effectively completed.
To monitor and maintain the hygiene of areas within the remit with the aim of preventing cross infection in line with infection control procedures and guidelines.
Be aware of, access and adhere to Trust policies and guidelines.
