Housekeeper/Cleaning
National Star’s housekeeping team play a key role in maintaining student and residents’ living accommodation to a high standard so that it is clean and homely for young adults with complex disabilities.
This role is based at our long term residence in Gloucester. Working as part of the friendly Site Services and residential teams, our housekeepers/cleaners are instrumental in maintaining the cleanliness of their allocated areas, always following our infection control guidelines.
The working hours for this role are 20 hours a week, Monday to Friday, ideally working 9.00 am – 1.00 pm although this could be flexible.

Key areas of responsibility include:
Following daily, weekly and termly checklists of cleaning duties, including periodic deep cleans to promote a high standard of cleanliness.
Cleaning student residences including bedrooms, bathrooms, toilets, kitchens/kitchenettes, windows and communal and staff areas
Ensuring accidental spillages and hazards are dealt with appropriately in line with health and safety policies
Ensuring soap and hand sanitiser dispensers are stocked and in good working order
Have a working knowledge of how to adhere to the safe handling of substances, adhering to COSSH procedures.
