Department: Endoscopy Unit Band: 2 £22,383 - £22,383pro rata if part-time Hours: Part time 30 per week, all MKUH roles will be considered for flexible working An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 2 Endoscopy Housekeeper to join our busy Endoscopy Team. Milton Keynes University Hospital (MKUH) Endoscopy service is based over 2 sites (MKUH and MKUH White House diagnostic Centre (WHDC)) The unit are purpose built to support outpatient and inpatient endoscopic procedures. It consists of four Endoscopy theatres at MKUH, one of which has the facilities to undertake X- ray screening and laser procedures and two Endoscopy theatres at WHDC. You will be working alongside registered Nurse, Endoscopists, Nurse Associates and Health Care Assists to delivering high level care to patients in all areas of the unit, this role requires you to be confident with the computer and have excellent communications skills. This role can be a challenging role but is very rewarding for the right candidate. Interview date: 31.10.23 The main responsibility of this housekeeper post will be to order all necessary equipment and accessories needed for the unit (training will be provided) as well as ensuring good rotation of equipment and keeping the departments well-maintained and a safe working environment. Ordering Assist in the ordering of stock needed for the unit with consultation of senior nursing team. Ordering and collecting free staff refreshments. Cleaning To assist in monitoring and maintaining cleaning standards on the Unit, carrying out monthly audit, reporting deficiencies. To ensure the Unit is safe and tidy by removing clutter. Other Taking samples to the laboratories General To organise own daily workload, adjusting and prioritising appropriately as the ward actively dictates. To receive, welcome and assist visitors to the area, liaising with other staff as appropriate. Working practices and relationships To ensure that their own actions reduce risks to health and safety and to promote a health and safety culture within the workplace. To respond to emergencies as appropriate. Support of people To ensure the Unit has sufficient stocks to meet patient and staff needs.
