We are seeking a motivated and committed Housekeeper to join our team in Maternity Services, on the Delivery Unit at Saint Mary's Hospital (managed clinical service MCS ) Oxford Road Campus. You will be working 37.5 hours Monday to Friday. Shift start times will be 07:30 hours finishing at 15: 30 hours.

The post holder will work as an integral part of the team, responsible
for the coordination of all the Housekeeping Services in the
Department and work as part of the multi-professional team, to ensure
a clean, safe, and comfortable environment.

The essence of this role is to support the Unit Managers and Matron in
maintaining a safe and clean working environment for patients and
staff.

This is an exciting role in which you will work closely with the Ward managers, Midwives, Support and domestic staff to ensure a safe, clean and organised clinical environment.

You will take responsibility for ensuring that all medical equipment is clean and well maintained. You will undertake the ordering of stores and equipment on the ward, ensuring that stock levels are maintained. You will be responsible for assisting with the patient experience tracker and obtaining feedback from women and families with the Friends and Family Test (FFT) cards. You will assist the team in continuous quality improvement work.

Educated to a high standard, you might already have some experience in a similar role. You must be able to empathise with and consider women as you go about your duties. You will have an organised and positive approach to ensure the tasks at hand are carried out in a timely, effective manner. Able to cope well under pressure, you will utilise excellent communication and team skills.
