Job description

We are currently looking for attentive Housekeeping Assistants to join James' Places, an expanding collection of hotels, wedding venues, pubs and restaurants.

James Places is a dynamic and vibrant growing company with uniquely different venues across the Ribble Valley and beyond; with The Royal Hotel, The Shireburn Arms, The Emporium, Eaves Hall, Mitton Hall, The Waddington Arms, Holmes Mill and Falcon Manor, Assheton Arms are all part of the group.

As Housekeeping Assistant you're responsible for creating a warm and welcoming environment for our customers. All areas should be cleaned to the highest standards - this will include bedrooms, bar and restaurant areas, toilets, public areas and office space.

As Housekeeper You’ll..

Be very hands-on, working with your team, maintaining high standards of cleanliness
Perform cleaning duties in all guest areas and back of house areas.
Work quickly without compromising quality
Ensure all rooms and public areas adhere to company standards, whilst using your experience to further improve on the high standards in place.
Perform a variety of cleaning activities such as sweeping, mopping, dusting and polishing
Be hardworking, have excellent organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail to ensure that you carry out your duties thoroughly, effectively.
Check the maintenance & quality of physical items: tables; chairs; equipment; linen and the appearance of the event rooms and foyers: wood work; carpeting; lighting, etc.
Work well under pressure and keeps to tight deadlines
Enjoy working in a busy environment
Adhere to rules regarding health and safety and be aware of any company-related practices

Also,

Be a seasoned pro in the hospitality industry with a strong customer orientation and understanding of service delivery
Be passionate about making sure every little detail is as it should be to create an extraordinary experience for all our customers.
The successful candidate will be hard-working, friendly, efficient, customer focused with an eye for detail.
Previous experience is preferred, the role would suit an experienced housekeeper
Participate in and carry out various housekeeping inventories
