Job: Room Attendant at Cowley Manor
Based in: Cowley, Cheltenham
Reports to: Housekeeping Manager
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Greet hotel guests and respond positively to their queries.
- Change bed linen and make beds.
- Replace used towels and other bathroom amenities, such as shampoo and soap.
- Sweep and mop floors.
- Vacuum carpets.
- Dust and polish furniture.
- Empty trash containers and ashtrays.
- Check the mini bar, adding up the daily drinks bill and refilling it.
- Report any technical issues, damages, and maintenance needs to the Housekeeping Manager.
- Return and restock cleaning cart at shift end.
- Collect laundry and dry cleaning for guests.
- Sort and count linen and towels for collection by the laundry company.
- Comply to all health, safety, and hygiene rules.

Acquired by the Experimental Group in 2022, Cowley Manor is entering the next chapter of its life. The property is home to 36 bedrooms complemented by a spa, restaurant, cocktail lounge, library, mudroom and plentiful living rooms. The property features a postcard landscape of rolling hills and sheep dotted in the distance spread across 55 acres of idyllic countryside.
The refurbished design by Dorothée Meilichzon has taken inspiration from each chapter of Cowley Manor’s book, weaving together classical inspiration with contemporary elements across each of the estate’s bedrooms. A sort of joyeux bordel, a happy mess.
The new restaurant and cocktail bar at Cowley Manor is a place to celebrate a milestone, or simply enjoy a wonderful meal. Local produce will be at the forefront, highlighting some of Gloucestershire’s finest offerings. The spa features treatments such as relaxing massages, facials and more. gym, indoor or outdoor pool.
