Job description
Household Management: The butler oversees the overall functioning and efficiency of the household. This includes organizing and coordinating various tasks, staff members, and resources to ensure smooth operations.
Staff Supervision: The butler may be in charge of hiring, training, and supervising other household staff, such as housekeepers, chefs, gardeners, and chauffeurs. They need to ensure that all staff members perform their duties diligently and maintain a high standard of service.
Formal Service and Etiquette: The butler is well-versed in formal service and etiquette protocols. They may be required to serve meals, set tables, and ensure that the household follows appropriate etiquette guidelines, especially during formal events or when guests are present.
Inventory Management: Keeping track of household inventories, such as fine china, silverware, and other valuable items, is another responsibility. The butler may be in charge of purchasing or arranging repairs for these items as needed.
Guest Relations: The butler is often the main point of contact for guests and visitors. They welcome guests, provide assistance, and ensure their needs are met during their stay.
Event Planning: If the household hosts social gatherings or special events, the butler may be responsible for planning and coordinating the logistics, including guest invitations, catering, and other event-related arrangements.
Personal Assistance: In some cases, the butler may also provide personal assistance to the employer or household members. This could involve managing schedules, making travel arrangements, and handling confidential matters.
Household Security: The butler may be involved in ensuring the security of the residence, implementing security protocols, and supervising security staff if employed.
Wardrobe Management: In households with formal dress codes, the butler may assist with wardrobe management, including clothing care, organization, and wardrobe selections for events.
Maintaining Standards: Upholding the household's reputation and maintaining a high standard of service is a key responsibility. This includes attention to detail and an ability to handle unexpected situations discreetly and professionally.

Salary: £40,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
