Scoping of works is the same way when it comes to household claims.
You need to know exactly what properties are made of in order to re-build or repair.
Whether it be plaster, timber frames, brick or something more complex. You know about it.
But let’s face it the likely chances of getting a claim through from someone saying that a wolf has blown their house down is unlikely……
It’ll more likely to be an escape of water, storm damage, fire, or flood claim.
All things to come as we head into the latter part of the year.
Working as a Household Claims Handler you know what it takes to resolve a claim quickly and efficiently.
And perhaps you’d like to take a step back from the constant calls from claimants directly.
This role is working in-house for an insurer and forms part of a technical team of 5.
You’ll mainly be dealing with their outsourced partner and taking over if/when needed. But prominently there to deal with anything up to £10,000.
If you want to develop your technical expertise even further, there’s opportunities for you to do exactly that. Whether it be a role with a higher authority limit, more complex cases or even moving across to deal with Audit or Complaint's it’s something that is very much available to you.
And what’s even better, is that you get to do this from the comfort of your own home.
So you’ll know about it if a dodgy looking wolf walks past your window.
