Inspired by Denmark Street’s rare hustle, Chateau Denmark brings together creative expression and fine architectural detail to present something fierce. Across 16 buildings, session rooms and apartments capture a spirited independence in a neighbourhood steeped in cultural heritage.

With 55 rooms and apartments along a street where the Sex Pistols once lived, the Stones recorded their debut album and Bowie and Hendrix all hung out - if the walls here could speak, you'd be hooked.

We are searching for

An aspiring Receptionist to join our Chateau Denmark team and beyond. The role requires one thing – to be yourself, be part of a team and to never leave anyone behind. On a street famous for musical heritage, being the ‘drummer’ you’ll be the constant beat, understanding every aspect of the entire guest journey and the experience.

As a Receptionist you’ll have to communicate effectively with all departments across Chateau Denmark and coordinate a synergised approach amongst them. A passion to resolve challenges is a must, combining this with the ability to multi-task and emotionally engage with our guests will bring people together to contribute towards a unique pulse.

As a highly valued team member you’ll be a key part of the guest experience, helping define and articulate it from arrival to departure. Bringing an unparalleled level of service you’ll work closely with colleagues embodying a no half measures attitude.

Your profile

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to respond appropriately to diverse guests.
  • Passionate for creating exceptional guest experience.
  • Knowledge of reservations & property management systems desired but not required.
  • Excellent IT skills and numeracy.
  • A professional and welcoming telephone manner.
  • Relevant experience in a five star property desired but not required.

Your role

  • Managing Multi-line telephone and email enquiries in a professional & timely manner.
  • Greeting all district guests and answering enquiries.
  • Managing guests’ records and take reservations (updating information and profiles as required).
  • Assist with the input of reservations into PMS system, ensuring accuracy of data.
  • Ensuring room allocations are completed and followed up on a daily basis.
  • Checking daily arrivals and ensuring that all requests are fulfilled before guests’ arrival.
  • Assist with guest’s checking in & out.
  • Monitor and maintain deposit requirements.
  • Managing guest’s payment methods.
  • Maintain daily effective communications with other departments to ensure all requirements are dealt with efficiently.
  • Create and manage end of shift reports.
  • To perform as part of a team, assisting other departments where necessary and carrying out appropriate duties as requested by management.
