Ambleside Park. Our Place in the Lakes. Our 24 bedroom
private hotel on the banks of Lake Windermere in the Lake District.
Job Details:
Would you like to join our team of General Assistants, You could work in
any department across the hotel to assist in absence or busy periods.
You'll need to be flexible to work in different areas and really enjoy
giving excellent customer service to all our guests.
A great experience can make all the difference to enhancing our guests'
stay and you’ll be the friendly face of our hotel. You’ll receive
on-the-job training and every day will be different.
What we are looking for
- A permanent full-time partner to join our General Assistant Team
- This role will require working split shifts and some weekends.
- Earliest start time 7am, latest finish 11pm

- Working at the site, you’ll be surrounded by a team of passionate and dedicated hospitality Partners to give our guests the best experience. What is different about our guests though, is that they are Partners, their friends and family. As co-owners in the business, you’ll see this difference in the way your teammates and you approach your job and carry out your responsibilities.
- As a General Assistant , you'll be working as part of a friendly team looking after our guests in the Bar, Restaurant & Housekeeping areas.
- You’ll have the freedom to display your excellent customer service skills, exceed guest expectations and have a flair for creating a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, whether you’re serving tea on the decking or drinks in the bar. Our Catering Partners are crucial to delivering that memorable guest experience, whether that is working front of house or supporting the Kitchen operation.

What do you need?

- Proficient in IT/ EPOS systems and able to use standard software
- Excellent communication skills, both written & verbal
