Maison Parfaite is a small family run business, based in Yorkshire. We are an exceptionally entrepreneurial organisation, with a unique brand, and a very clear vision for exponential growth over the years to come.

We lovingly restore and renovate historic properties in North Yorkshire tourism hotspots such as the Yorkshire Dales, Whitby, Robin Hoods Bay, Harrogate, York and Pateley Bridge, and we convert them into beautiful holiday homes and Aparthotels – which we then rent on a short stay basis to affluent and discerning clients around the globe.

We have recently acquired The Burgoyne Hotel, in Reeth, North Yorkshire. And now we are looking for a General Manager to take the helm at this wonderful small hotel, as we prepare for a complete 5-star refurbishment throughout.

The ideal manager for The Burgoyne must share our passion for Yorkshire, and have excellence written into their very core. Their mission will be to put a smile and a ‘WOW’ on the face of every customer!

This person must share the directors desire for growth as they will be responsible for the success of The Burgoyne, including the highly acclaimed and award-winning restaurant, the1783.

The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge and experience in the travel industry and previous experience as a Hotel general Manager is an absolute must. Other important attributes required are excellent communication skills, a keen eye for perfection, budgeting and cost-saving, the ability to think on their feet and come up with creative solutions, and to be a confident and self-motivated leader, who can in turn motivate their team of employees.

Performance related bonus available.

Schedule:

. Flexible hours - 40 hours per week over 7 days

Ability to commute/relocate:

Key Skills required:

  • Experience in a similar Hotel General Manager Role
  • A good understanding of the travel industry
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills
  • Commercial experience in revenue and yield management
  • Sales driven attitude
  • Equally comfortable thinking strategically as you are rolling your sleeves up to deliver on last-minute needs and hit targets.
  • Naturally self-directed, operate at a high cadence, and get stuff done with minimum supervision
  • High attention to detail.
  • Curiosity and desire to develop knowledge, skills and grow our business.
  • Technically proficient and able to compile reports and analyse data.
  • Be able to ‘read data’
  • Be able to thrive with deadlines and work under pressure to a high standard.
  • Plan effectively and execute contingency or ‘Plan B’s’ when required.
